Peggy Schu joined the Ridge Church family on June 19th, 2006 as the
Choir Director and Organist for the two Traditional Services.
A native of Northwest Indiana, Peggy graduated from Munster High
School and went on to study organ and church music at Baylor
University. A long-time piano teacher in the area until recently, she has
also held positions as Organist and/or Choir Director at Christ Lutheran
Church, St. Paul Episcopal Church, First United Lutheran Church, and
most recently retired from First United Methodist Church in Hammond
after 18 years of music ministry there. She has been an active member
in both the American Guild of Organists and the Fellowship of United
Methodist Musicians in Music & Worship.
Although most of Peggy's spare time is spent preparing and rehearsing
music for the church, she still manages to find time for reading for the
Book Club she formed a few years ago, and spending time with her two
grown children, Gretchen and Peter.
