about these opportunities you can email George or call him at 838.9524.

Over the last couple of years the group has been involved in:

  •  Supporting four international missionaries: Kokeh Kotee in Liberia; Lowell & Claudia Wertz in
Tanzania; Greg & Cathie Benson in Haiti; and Tim & Toby Banks in Haiti.
  • Collecting money and materials for the HOPE Center for Girls (orphanage) and the Haitian Medical
Center, run by the Banks and Bensons respectively, and for FanFan's School.
  • Raising money for these international missions, by holding periodic fundraisers like our all-church
    Rummage Sale each April.
  • Working with one of youth to support a year-round effort to make and sell jewelry to support Blood:
Water Mission in Africa. Did you know that $1 provides one year of clean water for an African?
Donations fund wells to provide water to entire communities.  Check out www.bloodwater.org.
  • Collecting used medical equipment – wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and lots of other stuff – for Chilldren
of Abraham, a locally run Christian/Islamic charity that ships it to countries in desperate need.
  • Supporting “Operation Christmas Child”, an international outreach through Samaritan’s Purse, a
Franklin Graham ministry.  Volunteers wrap and fill shoe boxes with toys, candy, toiletries and anything
fun to be given to underprivileged children throughout the world.  And it’s fun for us too!
  • Raising funds in response to disaster's around the world like the Tsunami in December of 2004.
